TMT first port of call on new CMA-CGM’s TMX 3 Service from Turkey

A new intra-mediterranean maritime service is now operational, further widening the already existing network offered by the main shipping lines via Trieste.

CMA-CGM has just launched TMX 3 – TURKEY MED EXPRESS 3 service, its fastest service ever linking the ports of Western Turkey and the Adriatic, with Trieste being the first port of call in the Adriatic sea.
Two vessels with nominal capacity of 850 TEUs are being deployed on the rotation Ambarli – Gebze – Gemlik – Trieste – Koper – Venice – Malta – Ambarli. The first vessel has sailed from Ambarli at the beginning of July, and its weekly calls at Trieste, thanks to the intermodal solutions offered, provide new gateway possibilities for cargo destined to Central and Eastern Europe.
TMX 3 is conceived as a new maritime bridge representing a sustainable alternative to traditional truck transport, featuring minimum two times less CO2 ton/km emissions for southern locations served via Trieste.
