1st semester 2021: TMT volumes

The first semester of 2021 displays a “light and shade” result in the volumes handled at Trieste Marine Terminal compared to the first semester 2020: +15% of full cntr but -39% on the empty cntr handlings, for a total of 315.381 teus handled, overall -7.5% less than 2020.

The rail results are promising: the semester registers +10.6% of the cntr moved from/to TMT to/from its markets of reference in Central and Eastern Europe and Northern Italy. Trieste is elected as gateway in the Adriatic by an increasing number of customers who have their business areas in the Mediterranean and in Middle- and Far East countries and consider Trieste Marine Terminal, in particular, a reliable point of reference free from bottlenecks for vessels and trains and from limitations as far as the acceptance of cargo is concerned.
