MAERSK AGAMEMNON: 8.000 TEUS VESSEL AT TRIESTE FOR THE FIRST TIME

For the first time ever since, an 8.000 teu vessel sailed the North Adriatic Sea and called Trieste Marine Terminal for commercial operation.
The AE12/Phoenician MAERSK LINE and CMA-CGM Service vessel Agamemnon reached Trieste on Saturday evening for discharging operations.
The vessel worked at TMT for less than 24 hrs discharging a total of 1251 containers bound to Italy and Central/Eastern Europe.
The vessel is scheduled to come back to Trieste for her second call on Friday 2nd for export cntr loading operations. The usual two calls of the AE12 Phoenician service at Trieste are planned in order to optimize the vessel utilization, exploiting the 18 meters natural draft Trieste can offer, thus allowing the calls of the other scheduled Adriatic Ports of the service.
