TMT increases container and intermodal traffic during February

TRIESTE – The volumes in Teu moved by Trieste Marine Terminal in February 2017 show an increase of 5.48% compared to the same period in 2016.

 

Furthermore, in February TMT registered a 46% growth of the cargo moved by train compared to 2016. More in details, an increase of the cargo from/to Germany (+75,1%) occurred also due to the difficulties that the German market encountered in managing the export flows from the ports of Northern Europe to Far East. In this context, Trieste has been able to comply with the market needs, arranging extra departures from/to Trieste to the intermodal services in Germany.
