Container terminal, a record-breaking mooring for the Port of Trieste

TRIESTE – A record-breaking mooring took place yesterday in Pier VII, Port of Trieste, as the container terminal operated by Trieste Marine Terminal hosted at the same time MSC Genova and Northern Jupiter of CMA CGM.

Two similar ships, so large and having such capacity, have never been moored together in the port's container terminal. Msc Genova was built in 2010 and it is 366-meters long, with a capacity of about 14,000 Teu.  Northern Jupiter, on the other hand, can carry 8500 Teu and is 333-meters long. Again, the year of construction is 2010.
