Compagnia Portuale Monfalcone sold by T.O. Delta to F2i

Compagnia Portuale of Monfalcone has been sold by TO Delta Group to F2i – Italian Funds for Infrastructures, with the aim to further consolidating its position in the container compartment.

The operation brings further support to the strategic investments that TO Delta is going to realize primarily on the port of Trieste by widening and renovating Molo VII, investments estimated in 100 million Euro to be equally shared with MSC (partner of TO Delta in the handling, as TMT, of the container terminal of Molo VII), serving to the extension of the pier quay and to a further widening of the rail park, besides the acquisition of two last-generation STS cranes and the purchase of new yard equipment. By the end of the works, foreseen for year 2023, the Trieste container terminal will be able to operate last-generation vessels with a capacity of over 20,000 TEUs, with an estimated increase in capacity of 35%. “This well represents the strategy for the future of our Company, oriented to safeguard its leadership as gateway of reference for Central-Eastern Italy and Central-Eastern Europe” explains Stefano Selvatici, MD of TO Delta. “The buyer has certified the utmost respect of all ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) parameters, a merit to be shared with the working group of Monfalcone”.
