Trieste Marine Terminal started managing the container terminal of the Port of Trieste at the beginning of 2004. Volumes left from the previous managing company were 118.000 teus at the end of 2003.
With huge investments, effort and new procedures, Trieste Marine Terminal has become a modern reliable Container Terminal, bringing the Shipping Lines’s confidence back.
Inefficiency, poor operations performances and strikes are just a far memory of the past. Trieste is today a modern, reliable, efficient and not congested international terminal, working with the aim to satisfy global international customers with tailor made services
Although the international crisis negatively hit 2009 volumes, the recent years trend clearly shows a strong increase in the average volumes and a strong development of the marine services available (Trieste Marine Terminal scored the highest average growth in the last 5 years among all the Italian terminals).
